Jess Shares Her Success Story After Joining The Business of Coaching Programme

Jess Harvey is the Founder of the Female Mentoring Alliance. She worked with Jo from June 2023 to November 2023.

What was going on for you before we started working together?

I was completely all over the place. I had ideas but I wasn’t really clear who my ideal client was. I thought I was, but I wasn’t specific enough.

I was nervous and I was my own barrier. So I had these ideas. But I wasn’t trying that hard. I think partly because I thought, well if I don’t do it, then I haven’t failed. There was no structural framework for what I was doing and I just didn’t know what to do.

What was the result of our work together?

I gained 1:1 clients but also launched a group programme for women to take them through a six-stage process. The launch framework you shared gave me the structure and vision of what I needed to do.

I’ve filled 10 out of 12 places with potentially one more, plus one person decided to do 1:1 coaching.

It’s been a really successful launch!

I’m excited to use that framework again to launch the programme in the future too. It’s given me the ability to focus and the structure that I had in my corporate role.

What would you say to anyone considering joining the programme?

You have to go for it. Don’t wait until it’s the right time. There will never be a right time.

There’s the structure and framework that you put in place, the calls every week, the other people that go through it.

Then there’s your support – you make us feel like it’s totally possible.

There’s no win or lose. You’re just growing each week and that makes it really good. It’s definitely worth it because it’s not just a one off, you gain lifetime access to the material.

What’s next for you?

Getting my voice out there more. I’m starting to pitch to corporates and I’m also doing public speaking events and speaking on panels. I’m launching my programme again in January. And I’m also going to continue one-to-one coaching as well.

I’ve just about finished my qualification. I was doing my training, alongside moving house, for all the time we’ve worked together. They’ll never be a ‘right’ time.

What would you say to anyone considering working with me?

I would say it’s a real giggle. You’ll learn a lot and you’ll feel really supported. It feels like a really trusted relationship. And what I also love is that you’re very honest about what you say and how you do things. It doesn’t have to be perfect – sometimes it’s last minute and that’s okay.

So actually you take away that feeling of perfectionism and you make it real and honest. The people that you attract to the programme are naturally people that I would want to work with and a big part of that is your personality.
