Hello and welcome to Women in the Coaching Arena podcast. I'm so glad you are here. I'm Jo Lott, a business mentor and ICF accredited coach

Microphone (Samson Q2U Microphone):

and I help coaches to build brilliant businesses. I know that when you prepare to enter the arena, there is fear, self doubt, comparison, anxiety, uncertainty, shame. You can tend to armor up and protect yourself from vulnerability. In this podcast, I'll be sharing honest, not hype, practical and emotional tools to support you to make the difference that you are here for. Dare greatly. You belong in this arena. Hello, welcome to the 37th episode of women in the coaching arena. I am so glad you are here. I have been away on a mastermind in France for a week. And I've come back brimming with ideas that I'm excited to share with you today. What I've learned from spending six days with 12 high-performing business owners is that they put out a lot of offers. So I'm excited to share this challenge with you today. To earn 2 K in two weeks. It's amazing what is possible when you set yourself a challenge? I set myself this challenge when I was away for Easter holidays. And I listened to Helen Pritchard who's the LinkedIn trainer live on LinkedIn that day. And she said exactly that. Set yourself a challenge and really visualize what you want and why you want it. So at that point I wanted a new front door, which I knew was 2000 pounds. So it was ideal. I was away for Easter holidays for two weeks. So I was thinking, well, I can't earn any money because I can't do any calls Cause I'm away my kids. And instead, because I had the goal, I looked at what was possible. While the kids were upstairs, getting ready, made a sales page and earned three K in the two weeks that I was away. So anything is possible if you set yourself that goal and really, really go for it instead of thinking, oh, well, I'm away, nothing I can do about this because there is things you can do. So I'm excited too. open up that possibility for you today. So this is a five step process. Our first step is to set the intention. So set yourself that money goal now. A suggestion is two K in the next two weeks. So if you are listening to this episode on its release date of 23rd of November, we will be talking about adding two K by the 7th of December. So, whatever the date is for you now. Set your money goal and set your deadline. Now I would love you to focus on how you are going to feel when you receive that money? Really, really go into it. Don't stop yourself by thinking it's not possible. Just really imagine. When I had my new front door fitted. I could just see, pulling up to my house, seeing the door looking really lovely. That was my goal. So really step into that now. If there is any judgment from yourself, then write it down and really acknowledge it. Explore it is that actually true because as we know as coaches, most of the things that go round in our head, Are limiting beliefs. So get them out of your head onto paper so you can really explore anything that's in your way. Also thinking about setting that intention. Writing down your goal is super powerful and signing it with your commitment that this is what you will do over this period of time. And prepared to go all in. If those limiting beliefs come up and they will. Then know that you have already planned, for example, you're going to do EFT or meditation or exercise. Or journal, what are you going to do to stop those beliefs when they tell you that this isn't possible for you? So plan that all now. Another great thing you can do is declutter the space that you are working in. Start to do the things that are gonna make you feel like this successful person who is going to earn two K in the next two weeks. Put yourself an hour in your diary now to really do this process, set the intention. Write down exactly what you want. I Write down negative consequences as well. So if I do make two K in the next two weeks, what's the worst thing that can happen. Often we can feel like we are being greedy or all of those things can come up. So really explore this goal. What you're going to do when the inevitable limiting beliefs get in the way. And set your commitment and sign it. Share it with others. I was away on this retreat with a ex military guy. And the way he runs his group is completely mindblowing. I would love to do something similar. But I'm just really trying to think about how to do it. In a way that doesn't cause shame. So basically what he does is. It's a public thing. You share what you're going to do that day? And then at the end of the day, his virtual assistant does a table of like, red cross is if they don't share their objective for the day. So it really just helps you to have that public accountability. Accountability does make you 95% more likely to achieve your goal. So there are huge elements of his system that I really like, and I will definitely be inviting people into way more accountability in my program. Okay. So first step we have set the intention. Our second step is to get that plan together. So now we know what we want our vision. Let's work on the strategy. For this, you are going to break down your money goals. So if you are going with my suggestion of two K think about, is that one one-to-one coaching offer. Is that a smaller group program for 10 people. There were loads of ways you can make money and stand out by giving people a really convenient way to work with you. So some suggestions are a Voxer day, so Voxer is a bit like WhatsApp and people can message you back and forth if they really want to work on one specific goal with you for a day. Maybe you could run an in-person event. You could do a VIP day where you spend the entire day with someone. You could do some power hours. You could do something done for you. And I think this is often something we forget as coaches. Because we trust that the person's resourceful and everything. But what I noticed recently, when I put out a done for you niche offer, Everybody absolutely whipped up because it's too easy to get stuck in our head. And sometimes we just need to pay people to do the things that we are holding ourselves back on. Another example is that I now pay my virtual assistant to do my LinkedIn connections because I love growing my connections, but I'm not always consistent with hitting connect. So I engage. I do all of the relationship building, but she hits that connect button for me. So there are so many things you can do for people to really help them to move forward. Lots of the people on the mastermind I was with I doing a week of support. So it's a really intensive week. You might meet three times a week. Some of them are intending to meet every single day to really work on a particular goal. For example, I would love to do something like this for helping people to get their email list up and running. It's the task that can often fall to the bottom of the pile. So I think a focused week on that I'm not doing at the moment so far too many other offers going on. But at some point, that's a nice idea to get people over the line, get the tech up and running and get their email list kick-started. So, what is it for you? What are you going to sell to add your two K over the next two weeks? Now set your deadline for people to buy this. Perhaps midnight, two weeks from now, or you might want to go. At 5:00 PM. So you're not up till midnight because I think I set a goal of midnight and it was a bad move. Now, write down the consequences. If they don't buy your thing. So are they going to stay stuck? Using the time of year is a really great way of doing it. Like imagine starting 2024 knowing that you have this thing in place, knowing that you have a plan- wherever it is for your particular niche using the time of year is a really powerful thing to do. Now I would love you to add some bonuses. So bonus for buying now. And that really helps to help people make a decision and do the best thing for them. I know that there are people who bought my bonus offer that I did recently. Who have been procrastinating for years? And it's finally helped them to make a decision. So whilst I don't agree with false scarcity. We do really need a decision for our own benefit to move over the line. If I could have thought about this mastermind that I've joined I would have thought about it forever. He gave a deadline and I needed to make my mind up pretty darn quick, and I have never regretted a decision that I've made like that. Because you will always learn, you will always move forward. More than you would, if you were just sitting around not making any decisions at all. So think about your bonus. Allow yourself some time to realize that, what you offer is valuable and can change lives. And whatever it takes for you to find your driver that is going to really help you to step into it. Whether that is a new front door or whether that is visualizing this person who is out there stuck and needs your help. Set that intention now. Take the time to really know why this is important for you. Step three is action. Now, you know why you want it, you know, your strategy. We need to actually make it happen. Go all in for the next two weeks before Christmas. It's the perfect time to make the most of it. If it means being the most helpful person in a Facebook group. And getting your name out there. If it means commenting on 50 LinkedIn posts a day, wherever you can do to get in front of new people. Can you speak at an event? Can you contact a company and say, I'm going to do a lunch and learn for you. What can you do to really ramp up your visibility? Over the next two weeks. So you do add this £2K. People need to see your offer 21 plus times to buy. So that is why, for example, you can go into canva.com. And change your LinkedIn banner or your Facebook banner to really help people to see your offer and the deadline really prominently regularly. If you have an email list, we're not sending one email, we're sending several emails. We want to get this thing in front of people, as much as we can. We're not just putting out once and forgetting about it. We are going all in for the next two weeks. Think about how good you will feel ending the year with the money in your pocket and having made a difference to someone's life. The person who hosts the mastermind I'm part of, is really big into Facebook groups. So he would a hundred percent suggest going through a process to make sure you find an access active Facebook groups and be really helpful person. We're not going in there to promote our, offer. We are going in there too be a helpful person and to be giving extremely good value everywhere you go. So people start looking you up and wondering who is this person who keeps helping everyone. And engagement is how you can really escalate your work. We worked a lot when we were away on gaining PR. Really doing that borrowing of audiences, especially if you're starting out and haven't got your own audience. Going on podcasts or speaking to other people's events or in companies. Who has got your audience and how can you get in front of them? If you use social media and now is the time to do some videos to really start showing up with pure value. Can you do a live? Can you do a masterclass? How can you share social proof every single day? It's something I'm thinking a lot about because I have got a lot of social proof. And I really do want to start sharing it every single day. Because the biggest thing in this industry is people finding someone that they can trust to help them. And I hear that time and time again. Make sure everyone knows your deadline. Make it a no-brainer offer. Really keep asking yourself, how can I make this a no brainer offer that they would feel mad to not take me up on. Okay, now we are on our fourth and final step. We want you to close actively and not passively. Many people that I see doing this, put their offer out, and then I think did they ever do that? Do they ever run that group program or whatever it might be. But what happened is they put out once and then they thought, no, one's going to buy. And so they shrunk into the background and never mentioned it again. That is not what we're going to do over the next two weeks. We are going to go all in close, actively, be showing up. If your deadline is at midnight, you're showing up at 11:00 PM reminding them that this is the opportunity to change their life. Keep asking yourself, what are their objections? If they are in the fence and watching, what is it that they are worried about and create content or figure out how to answer those questions? List out everyone who's engaged with you over the last two weeks. My mentor, for example, once messaged me when I took part in his five day challenge two years ago. So again, just shows the average buyer's journey. Saying, I'd just love to get your feedback on why you didn't buy. And because he sent a direct message asking me that. I then said, I've just bought this other thing and I'm just, you know, completely overwhelmed right now, but I really love the challenge. So really start learning. What are those objections? And that's a great way of you building that relationship with them as well. Most things come down to that last day. Many people do sit on the fence. I applied for this mastermind at 11:00 PM because the deadline was at 12 o'clock. Don't back out, send emails, put things out, keep reminding people off your deadline. Our fifth and final step is to receive. Relax, switch off. Tune in to you. Tune into nature, meditation, exercise, no matter what the result, make sure that this is time to celebrate the work that you have put in over the last two weeks. You will go to bed, knowing that you have given everything to this process. You have shown up. You have told hundreds of people about your offer. You have helped them to move off the fence. Handle their objections and change their lives. Be Super proud of yourself that you have shown up for you for your business and for the world. So do you message me if you are going to take the challenge, I would love to hear what is your goal? What is your deadline? And I will follow up with you in two weeks time and see how you got on. You can message me on LinkedIn. Joanna Lott. Or Instagram, Joanna Lott coaching. I cannot wait to hear if you take me up on this challenge. So let me summarise today's episode. We talked about setting yourself a goal and a deadline. And we laid out a five step process to achieve this. So firstly set the intention really commit, go all in, write out your goal, sign it. Commit to going all in and achieving it over the next two weeks or whatever deadline you want to put on your goal. Second, get a plan together. So create your offers. How many do you need to sell? What are you going to sell to achieve this goal? Third up was action. So now it's about getting seen and as many places as possible being as helpful as you can in as many places as you can to really, really get visible and get your offer out there. Fourth was close actively, not passively. Don't put one post out and then give up thinking, no, one's interested. It flopped. You really, really have to not back out, just keep it up. Even if no one buys you will always learn. So there is no such thing as failure. This is going to be an amazing experience. And fifth up was receive. So now you have done all of the hard work. Reflect on what went well, what could have been better? What would you do differently next time? Use this as a learning, growing experience and express gratitude to yourself for showing up for your goal. And like I say, at the end of every episode, trust yourself, believe in yourself and be the wise Gardner who keeps on watering the seed.
