Hi, I’m Joanna Lott, a Career and Business Coach.
I work with values-driven people to design their ideal career and live it.
I can support you to take the next step in your career, whether that is a new job, a complete career change, or setting up your own business.
Like so many others, I didn't know what I wanted to do for a career. My parents encouraged me to get a nice steady office job, so that's exactly what I did.
I learnt a lot about people and business through my 20 years working in governance and HR. But it took me many years to find what I was really interested in doing. In the meantime, I was working in London where I had achieved success but deep down I knew I was in the wrong place. I kept looking for work where I would feel fulfilled make the impact that I wanted to have.
My daughter was due to start school and I knew with school hours, and two separate drops for her and my son that I wouldn't be able to get to and from London.
I took a backwards step, as sadly so many women do, and applied for a part-time admin job at a coach training organisation.
I then realised that I couldn't hand my notice in for that role so politely declined saying I couldn't help but apply as I loved the sound of coaching. They agreed that I could retain my current HR job and work in the evenings and weekends in return for the ILM L7 in Executive Coaching and Mentoring training course.
Fate at work.
I gained my ILM L7 in Executive Coaching and Mentoring (plus since the ICF ACC accreditation), quit all of my jobs and now am fortunate to get paid to do work I love.
I bring a credible and structured coaching approach to those who are changing career or setting up a business. I have been told that I have a fun yet warm and empathetic approach. I understand that you are unique and I create a space for my clients to explore what they want and what is holding them back. I work with a deep sense of trust that you can achieve anything you want to. I find this approach enables my clients to take courageous action.
I believe that we are all assigned here for a reason.
My superpower is breaking down complex ideas into simple steps.
I seek out ways of supporting others to make money by doing work they love.
I believe in fun, kindness and abundance.
I value connection.
I love learning about all things personal development, business and spiritual and sharing my discoveries with others.
I want to contribute to a world where women pursue their ambitions, speak up, and build brilliant businesses.
I know that things are more fun when you do them with others.
